Our Prekindergarten room at Young Miracles Montessori & Childcare in Brampton accommodates up to 24 children, with a teacher-to-child ratio of 1:8, ensuring individualized attention for each child. At this stage, children begin to develop important social skills, make independent choices, and interact with their peers. The Pre-Kindergarten program focuses on preparing children for Kindergarten, with activities centered on letter recognition, tracing, and sequencing.
We recognize that every child is unique, and our dedicated teachers meet each child where they are in their learning journey, providing the support they need to succeed. A typical day in the Kindergarten room includes arts and crafts, movement activities, pretend play, group time, science experiments, and math activities. Weekly learning themes keep the curriculum fresh and engaging for the children.
Parents receive monthly newsletters with updates on upcoming topics, special events, and curriculum highlights. To encourage independence, children are given opportunities to share experiences and practice self-help skills such as serving themselves, putting on their own shoes, and dressing themselves. We also emphasize diversity and inclusion, discussing different cultures, countries, artwork, music, and celebrating festivals from around the world.
